Welcome To Our Community
Deuteronomy 23:14 "For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine
enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that He see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee."
While here, we ask that you would please follow these guidelines set by the administrators. The purpose of the guidelines are to ensure the best possible experience for all of our members and to maintain an orderly and peaceful forum for you to participate in.
1.) This forum was created for SCN students, as such, we ask that you do not post any studies that oppose or are contrary to the teachings of SCN. You may post a study you have personally worked on as long as it does not violate these guidelines.
Please always remember that the Murray's are our teachers and if your intent is to come here to teach (impose your will) we suggest you go to those who need a teacher. Peaceful discussion and study of the scriptures is encouraged as long as it's within the guidelines.
We have a wonderful group of students here but always read any materials posted here with caution.
2.) Please refrain from posting unsubstantiated claims, conspiracy theories, and/or anything that does not cite a credible news source. Such claims serve no purpose and do nothing to benefit our community. We should always consider God's Word over man's word.
3.) Please refrain from posting audio clips from the Chapel. These can be edited in ways that would alter the content of the clip. Likewise, please refrain from posting links to file hosting sites such as Mediafire or similar sources. We ask this to ensure the integrity of our Pastors, and for the best interests of our community. If you have any questions, please consult with an administrator or moderator for further clarification.
4.) Please refrain from posting audio and/or video links from other sites if they are controversial in nature. This includes explicit, offensive or graphic material, as this is a family forum. Just use your best judgment and consider... WOULD GOD AND HIS CHURCH BE EDIFIED WITH THAT LINK?
Additionally, we also want to be careful about posting copy written articles, ie. news stories, etc. They should have a link to credit the source and so that readers can see the full story.
5.) Please refrain from using offensive language including avatars or clipart. No mocking, bashing or name calling. This includes labeling others in any derogatory manner (e.g. "Tare"/"Kenite"). Respect one another and have patience with your brothers and sisters. We have all level of students here and we expect you to respect one another.
6.) Please refrain from openly mentioning other internet forums by name with the sole intent of discussing differences, held by personal opinion, to be "less than desirable". This serves no purpose and will not be tolerated. We are here to build each other up, not tear down. In like manner, we should reference other communities respectfully or not at all.
7.) In teaching, Pastor Murray will not discuss other religions, denominations or pastors by name because it serves no purpose, it doesn't edify. But in fellowship, at times it may be necessary to specify such by name for the sake of clarity and context in a discussion. Likewise, news topics occasionally require these particular references to properly report events.
However, it's not our job to judge. So when such circumstances arise, please refrain from biased, opinionated, and/or derogatory statements.
8.) Please refrain from posting and/or spamming members with website information for the cause of personal endorsement. Such actions will be viewed as potentially malicious, and dealt with accordingly. If you wish to share a personal website, please consult first with an administrator or moderator.
9.) Please refrain from utilizing any forum for posting farewell announcements. If you wish to make others aware of your decision, you may do so by way of private messages. Also, we encourage heated discussions to be dealt with in similar fashion, off the board and via private messenger. Neither scenario benefits our community, so please handle such accordingly.
10.) Do not sign up under multiple usernames. Anyone caught doing this will be seen as suspicious and potentially be deleted as members. The exception to this would be if a husband and wife or two people using the same computer wanted to have individual accounts. Please just make an administrator or moderator aware of the situation.
11.) Last but certainly not least, always respect your moderators and admins. They devote a lot of time to ensuring this is a safe and enjoyable place for you to visit. If they do contact you with a request, it's for the good of everyone.
We all make mistakes. Just do your best to follow the guidelines and you'll do fine.
