Hi Don, Nice to meet you ! I have been studying with The Sheperd's Chapel for 20 years now, I sure enjoy it ! God brought me to Sheperd's Chapel , and Thank God He did. I prayed to understand the Bible and asked God to help me understand it better...then one day I was going through the channels, and here was Pastor Arnold Murray talking about the very same things I was wondering about during my prayer, Such as the meanings of the names of each Book of the Bible, and especially Revelation, how I thought it meant 'to reveal" then I looked it up in a Dictionary and found it did. Then Pastor Murray repeated the same thing I was thinking , then started answering questions , and making sense. He really floored me when he started teaching each book from beginning to end . I was hooked, and have been every since.

This is a wonderful site.

In Christ,

Hi Nancy,
I have been studying with the Chapel for a little over 2 years now and I found it through my daughter Sonia. She tapes them every day and gave me one to watch and I was hooked. I always knew that there was more than I have ever heard in any church. And I have been to every one here except for one. Never learned a thing. But when I heard Pastor Murray I knew that I had found what I was looking for. I just ate those tapes up. Now I record them on VHS and transfer them to DVD so I can watch whatever ones I want to...and I always catch something that I missed before. I have never heard explainations of the Bible like he teaches. I would watch it 24-7, but I have to allow my husband his TV time also. He does enjoy the Chapel, but he has problems with long and short-term memory, so he doesn't retain everything like I do. And he is floored by my faith...he hasn't got much faith. So I keep setting the example for him and I know that he will be fine because Father has His arms around him. He was in the hospital about 4 weeks ago, and the preacher from our old church and some other people from there went to see him. I kind of get defensive of him when false teachers and believers get near him. I don't get nasty, but I do tell them that what they are telling him isn't the truth. They look at me like I'm crazy, but I just tell them that is the way it is and I am not sorry. These people don't teach that the false one comes first. And I don't want them confusing Kenny because he could be taken in quick. I won't let anyone confuse him. I told the old lady that was there that Satan wasn't down below and that he is being held in Heaven by Michael. She told me that the antichrist is alive and well in the Middle East. I told her that he is alive and well alright, but he is chained in Heaven. She left his hospital room and I was glad. Well, I have babbled on enough, but when I get started, I just can't quit! Hope to be friends.

Your sister in Christ,
Barbara Moles

Hi,

This is my first post. I just joined yesterday. I am glad I found this group. What impressed me about your group was how you feel the same way I do about the Shepherd's Chapel site and A Murray. I feel so thankful everyday that SC exists and that I can learn from it. It comes on at 5:00 AM my time weekdays and is a real motivator for me to get up in the morning. Praise God that it helps me to get up and earn a living! I look forward to it, although, I have to admit that my chihuahua's cause a big fuss and it is hard to listen to every word. Sometimes I think subliminal input may be at work here rolleyes.gif . I just want to say hello and God bless and hopefully we will see each other someday. I cannot go to PO this year as I do not have any vacation time in my job. Also, I am a very quiet person. You may not see me post all the time!
I think there is a lot of nice posts to see here on your site and it should keep my mind busy for a while. GB.

Hi All!

I signed up in the summer, but couldn't get the password function to function. Then, there was this dead computer on the desk, followed by another computer killed off by yours truly, and then the password didn't work, work got to be too much like work, the new computer had glitches, I fractured my shoulder, the password sort of worked, but not to let me sign all the way on, and it finally gave up frustrating me, and here I am!

I live in Chicago, have studied with the Shepherd's Chapel for years, but this last one, really studied. That is, really studied as opposed to sort of listening while doing something else, or getting distracted, and having a wandering mind.

I'm a writer, violinist, cellist, and recovering lawyer. I'm also looking forward to meeting people here and discussing that most important book, the Bible. So, a big hello to all of you.

Hello everybody, my name is Rita and I live in BC Canada with my hubby of almost 30 yrs. We have 4 children. Our 27 year old daughter, our 24 year old intellectually handicapped son and our two little ones, adopted since birth, 8yr old Jacob and 5 year old Calla Rose. They are biological siblings.
We adopted Jacob and I was able to breastfeed him and 3 years later when hubby was being treated for throat cancer, along came little sister Calla. She was born cocaine-addicted and could only bottle feed.
Hubby received radiation and chemo on his throat but the radiation damaged his brain and he can no longer work.
We made a number of bad decisions and have 'kissed the paddle' of God's 'naughty board' too frequently over the past 5 years.
I have been listening to The Shepherd's Chapel for about 14 years with some years of unavailability until I got this pc.
I dearly look forward to getting to know you all and having fellowship with like-minded Christians. The Lord is so good to us and I trust Him. I admit I have worries about whether hubby and I are pleasing Him, after all the mistakes we made; though I know we are forgiven, I also know that sometimes we do not always see our wrongdoing as clearly as we should. Right now, we struggle to get hubby on disability. I listen to the Pastor everyday and do my best. I tell myself to wait upon the Lord. hugs and smiles, petallamb
