As if y'all don't think I'm crazy enough over the elephant thread....lol....My husband found a baby turtle, a bit bigger than 1" on the golf course cart path. Think it is a Slider turtle. It is not using one of its front legs. I have never had a turtle. I went to the store and bought the only tank they had that seemed feasible along with a heat lamp, etc. I think there should be more water in it. Currently only about 1" depth on each side (see pics). No heater or filter yet as not enough water depth. I put rocks on the one side as I was worried it would fall and land upside down and drowned. Just want to nurse it back to health and let it grow a bit and release it. Tell me if I am doing anything wrong or if it looks fine.....

Sorry, Faith, but I don't know anything about turtles (although I'm pretty sure they're incapable of being ninjas and probably shouldn't eat pizza ). I am pretty sure, though, our Father appreciates the compassion you have towards His creation.

My grandson Alex had a turtle, it lived a long time and never got any bigger than 1 inch.
I can't help with the turtle situation,I just wanted to say that I like your wall.

Thank you Oneway
That is the backsplash in our kitchen. We removed some ugly tile. This stuff comes in lightweight metal panels that you just cut with snips and then glue to the wall. We didn't even have to smooth the wall out first. It is easy and inexpensive. We ordered it at Home Depot.
Thank you for the link Sarah. Some helpful info there. This turtle will get HUGE ! We will take him to the pond once he is a little bigger and his leg is healed.

Faith the tank looks pretty good to me. My next door neighbor rescues turtles all the time and will even stop traffic to rescue one on the road then she brings them home and puts them in my pond. I will ask her if there is anything special in caring for them.
