Hey, All!
I hope that I am not detracting from more serious issues right now, but as a country girl and a pet owner, I'm asking for your prayers for my horse. My husband and I raised him from a baby and he is my trail horse. He is very sore in his front feet right now and we aren't sure why. We're hoping it's not founder and we really don't know how it could be. He hasn't been on anything that could cause it. But the symptoms seem to indicate that it is founder, which is a very serious and debilitating condition.
I'm asking my EF family here for your prayers to YHVH, our Father. My horse is a very special part of our family and we just want him to be sound. But mostly, I don't want him to be in pain and he is right now. He's a gentle giant - 16 hands tall and sweet as he can be.
Thanks so much for your prayers!

oh~~~God loves his animals and so do we. I will have Tyrone in prayer. Do you use braces?
Please do post what the farrier finds. My daughter's riding instructor is caring for a horse that is border line
founder. She isn't panicking but adjusting feed. We
had an "easy keeper" that was border line continually. So frustrating. She got fat grazing on almost
nothing. I actually went out and shop vacuumed the field of seeds. But you don't have that problem evidently.
Is he older?
YHVH bless you

Thanks, MarysLove. We haven't had any problems with him before. He is soft footed (tender in the hooves on rocks, etc) and inherited it from his father. He's only 12 (we have his mom (25) and raised another full brother who is four years old than him). He's not really fat and we feed him grass hay. He's been in the pasture only a few hours a day and it isn't very high grass at all. It's frustrating to see him so uncomfortable. I will keep you posted and I do appreciate you taking time out to say a prayer for him.

He could have just bruised his feet, hm? Is he white? Does he have white hooves? Just curious.

Father ,we know your Love for the animals of your own creation. We thank you LORD, for the way they enrich our lives, on many levels. We ask Father, that you restore this family pet, and relieve him from pain. We know Father, how important it is for a horse to have strong legs for vital support. May your Holy spirit, engulf him in strength, and blot out his pain, in the Holy name of JESUS.AMEN.

Yes, God does love his animals. They are precious to him. He created them for his pleasure. I will pray for your horse to be healed and pray for your heart as well.
Prayer going forth, Susie, for Tyrone and you and your family.
Our Fathers will be done. Love, sister Tea

If my daughter (Christina99) Lesley was here she would be very upset, that your horse is lame. She is at the horse barn on baby watch tonight. One of mares she takes care of is supposed to have a colt in the next few days. Lesley is only 11,but she has been riding since she was about 5or6. She will stay over there all night with the lady who owns the barn. I trust the lady who owns the barn, she is a Christian lady and lets Lesley come over there anytime to ride and work with the horses.
I consider it a Blessing that her interest is in horses and working at the barn, instead of all the other stuff out there.

Sis I'm so sorry about Tyrone. Tell us what the farrier finds out. You know I love my horses

MarysLove posted a good comment, I'm also curious if he is a white horse/white hooves. They do break down easier. I have a Medicine Hat Paint that I have to pay close attention to. She usually keeps shoes on or she is constantly breaking down her hooves. Let us know. God bless.

Hello Susie
I love horses. I was raised in the city, and did not ride my first horse until I was 18. And when I did, I felt like I belonged there. I later found out that my family were riders back in Ireland. Amazing. I will pray for your Tyrone. God loves his creatures.
Yours in Jesus Christ,Peter

I am not ashamed to admit that I have anointed my cat and ask for a healing and it was done...I do believe that Christ will heal on your behalf when you ask for it...I did not get the feeling I was doing anything wrong when I did this...I beleive that if for no other reason God will do it for us...your faith in Christ meriting the healing...
You know, we have discussed this before and I saw another verse that made me think again about animals and where their "breath of life" or "soul" or "nephesh" goes when they die:
Rev 19:17 ¶ And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
Rev 19:18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all [men, both] free and bond, both small and great.
These verses are talking about the 7th Trump when in an instant we are all changed out of thee flesh bodies and into our spirit bodies....unless I am misreading this, it sure sounds like the horses (animals) are too...those carcases left back in that dimension...

Susie it may not be founder. Sometimes their joints just ache and are sore like ours. We raise horses and have been through all sorts of things. Sometimes when one of ours is gimpy, we give them a mixture of crushed aspirin in some syrup or just mix it in their food. It really does help with their pain. The other thing that can make them gimpy is an abcess working its way down or out. If you press around on the outer hoof and the horse reacts in pain then it may be that. The cure for that is a little more complicated but it does goes away.
I'll pray your horse gets better soon.

Thank you all so much! We are still keeping a close eye on him, but he is getting better. We have been soaking his front feet in epsom salt and it is working wonders (along with the prayers!!!). Interestingly, he doesn't have white feet - they are black and he is a red-dunn but his father was a red-dun paint with lots of white markings. We think maybe the foot that he had a crack in got mud and stuff up in it. The soaking seems to be helping a lot. He was walking around a lot better tonight and we have been keeping him separated in a stall at night.
I do believe that Father answers our prayers and I am so thankful for everyone here and for your prayers. I know that our prayers are heard and answered according to His Will. I am so thankful to have this family that I can talk to everyday!
Bless you all!!!

Thanks, Everyone, for your prayers and kind words. Tyrone is doing much better. My husband actually put pads on his feet and he's feeling better. He has soft feet that he inherited from his father. All the rain has perpetuated it. With the pads on, though, he's doing fine.
Thanks again. I love having this wonderful family to share with!
